Dimbleby Cancer Care

We think the ethos of promoting the health benefits of exercise and nutrition is a good fit with the services that Dimbleby Cancer Care provide. It’s exciting to be part of this month-long event; it’s not something we often come across and we feel privileged to be a part of this event, which has already raised many thousands of pounds for charity.
We very much hope that many of our supporters will take part in Every Day in May, not only to raise important funds but to improve their own wellbeing.

Dimbleby Cancer Care was established in memory of broadcaster Richard Dimbleby in 1966 and exists to offer care and support to people living with cancer, and to their families and carers.

The money raised through donations from events like this go towards our £500,000 Care For The Future appeal which will enable us to continue to support the Dimbleby Cancer Care Information and Support Services at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, and fund national research projects through the Dimbleby Cancer Care Research Fund.

We support drop-in centres at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London. The staff work alongside doctors, nurses and other health professionals offering support and information to anyone affected by cancer, be they patients, families or carers. Our services include information and benefits advice, psychological support and complementary therapies. All services are free of charge.

The research we fund looks at the spectrum of issues relating to the care and support needs of people affected by cancer – you read about some of our research work on our site.

Beyond the event we are looking forward to working more closely with fitnaturally to provide natural eating and exercise support and advice to people with cancer, in addition to our established support services.
